July News

On 14 July, we had a volunteer visit from two lovely ladies from Hayes Recruitment in Milton Keynes who helped us pack veg boxes and delivered a few in Sandy. We all enjoyed getting to know Charlotte and Chloe over a cup of tea and a doughnut. Their company allows them a volunteer day, and they chose us!

G&M Growers have kindly begun providing us with surplus veg to help fill our free-of-charge veg boxes for those in need. We also receive donations from Seasons Fruit & Veg, M&S, Aldi and Tesco Sandy. Providing for those in need and helping reduce food waste - is a win-win for all of us.

The donation of freshly grown veg at the Potton Allotments and from the Potton Food Garden is abundant this year due to the good rains we have had. Courgettes, runner and french beans, cabbage, cauliflower, spring onions and potatoes, even some gooseberry jam - and more! Thank you, Potton Gardeners! The table is in the Potton Allotments parking lot every Thursday from 9am until mid to late afternoon.
